AfterBelgard Construction in Delray Beach, FL | Rowan Construction Group Boca Raton
Belgard paver and wall construction in Delray Beach runs $3,500 for a patio up to $18,000 for a full driveway, with most Belgard repair calls in Delray Beach tied to salt-air corrosion, joint sand washout, or base failure behind older CBS homes. What separates our Belgard work here is permit fluency: any hardscape east of the Coastal Construction Control Line needs a Florida DEP permit before the city will issue a building permit, and that timeline governs the job more than labor scheduling. Call (754) 254-8065 for a written estimate before anyone picks up a tool.
Why Delray Beach Residents Choose Us for Belgard Service
We’ve set Belgard pavers across Palm Beach County long enough to know which lines survive coastal salt air and which ones need intervention. Grant Rowan, our owner, grew up in Beverly Hills watching his father restore a 1960s ranch house - he got his first framing square at nine, then trained at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College before two decades in the field learning how materials actually behave under load and in heat. That background shows up in how we spec Belgard jobs in Delray Beach: hot-dipped galvanized edge restraints instead of standard steel, genuine polymeric joint sand rather than masonry sand that washes out, and base prep that accounts for a water table sitting two to three feet below grade in eastern neighborhoods.
We’re an independent Belgard service provider. No dealership, no warranty tag, no manufacturer authorization - just a crew that knows the product lines, stocks OEM-compatible replacement pavers locally, and delivers a written price before any work starts. Under Clause 1 of The Haven Standard, the number you agree to is the number you pay, backed by our 365-Day Done Right Promise. Every visit includes a documented photo record as standard, not an upgrade.
Common Belgard Construction Problems We Solve in Delray Beach
- Efflorescence bloom on Catalina Grana and Urbana Stone. Delray Beach’s salt-air humidity cycles calcium to the paver surface, leaving white mineral staining that reads as mildew but isn’t. We treat the efflorescence chemically, then seal with a breathable silane-siloxane to slow recurrence without trapping vapor.
- Polymeric joint sand washout on Mega Arbel driveways. Tropical downpours plus hydrostatic pressure from the high eastern water table blow sand out at paver edges. We re-install with genuine polymeric joint sand and re-grade for drainage, not just top-dress and hope.
- Rust staining and surface chipping from corroded edge restraints. Salt air attacks embedded rebar and standard steel edge restraints; the rust wicks onto Belgard faces and releases locking joints. We replace with stainless or hot-dipped galvanized hardware as baseline, not upgrade.
- Base settlement behind Weston Stone retaining walls in Del-Ida Park and Nassau Park. 1950s CBS homes there weren’t engineered for added wall load. The original slab footers crack, the wall leans, and the backfill settles. We assess whether a new footer is viable or if the wall needs full re-base on compacted limerock.
- Color fade on oceanfront installs east of the Intracoastal. Direct Atlantic exposure degrades surface pigments faster than inland Palm Beach County. We match replacement pavers from current Belgard lots and can blend weathered courses for transitions that don’t read as patches.
Before
AfterBelgard Service in Delray Beach: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Hardscape
Here’s the Delray Beach factor that reshapes every Belgard timeline: the Coastal Construction Control Line bisects the city’s oceanside neighborhoods, and any hardscape work east of it requires a separate Florida DEP permit before the city building permit can even be submitted. The DEP review adds weeks, and contractors commuting from Boynton Beach or Boca Raton routinely miss this layer, then watch their schedules collapse at inspection. For Belgard paver driveways and pool decks in Delray Beach, the critical path is permit approval, not crew availability. We’ve navigated this sequence enough to front-load the DEP application and run material procurement in parallel, so the paver delivery doesn’t sit in a yard while paperwork clears. That CCCL permit layer is the single thing that separates a Delray Beach Belgard job from the same work ten miles west.
Belgard Models & Products We Service in Delray Beach
We work across the full Belgard residential line, with local stock for fast Delray Beach turnaround on the four families we see most:
- Belgard Urbana Stone - large-format slab-look concrete paver; we stock replacement units for salt-air fade and efflorescence repair.
- Belgard Catalina Grana - textured granite-look surface; prone to efflorescence in coastal humidity, so we keep matching lots on hand for color-consistent repairs.
- Belgard Mega Arbel - interlocking concrete paver for driveways and patios; joint sand washout is the typical call, and we carry genuine polymeric sand for re-installation.
- Belgard Weston Stone - retaining wall block / SRW unit; base settlement on older Delray homes is the failure mode, and we assess footer viability honestly before quoting.
We use Belgard OEM or direct-match replacement pavers and genuine polymeric joint sand so color and thickness match the existing course. On older walls and walks, we’ll tell you straight when a full tear-out and re-base costs less long-term than chasing individual failures. Belgard sales & service through our crew means product knowledge without dealership markup.
Belgard Service Pricing in Delray Beach
These are the numbers we put in writing before work starts, every time:
| Service | Price Range in Delray Beach |
|---|---|
| Paver Driveway Installation | $7,000-$18,000 |
| Paver Patio Installation | $3,500-$11,000 |
| Driveway Replacement | $5,000-$14,000 |
| Driveway Sealing | $250-$700 |
What drives the cost: base depth and compaction (especially where the water table demands re-grading), edge restraint spec (standard steel versus hot-dipped galvanized or stainless), and permit complexity (CCCL-triggered DEP review adds administrative hours but no hidden fees). Every quote is flat-priced with written scope; no change proceeds without a signed change order. That’s the discipline that has kept our projects within a few percent of the agreed number across 4,000-plus jobs since 2007. Call (754) 254-8065 for your free estimate - we’ll review your site, check permit requirements, and deliver a written price you can screenshot and compare.

FAQs - Belgard Construction in Delray Beach
Yes. Any hardscape east of the Coastal Construction Control Line needs a Florida DEP permit before the city building permit issues, and the DEP review timeline typically adds weeks. We file the DEP application first and run material procurement in parallel so the job doesn’t stall. Call (754) 254-8065 and we’ll verify whether your property triggers the CCCL layer during the free estimate.
Belgard Catalina Grana holds up well with proper base prep and hot-dipped galvanized edge restraint, but no concrete paver is immune to salt-air corrosion of metal components. The paver itself is durable; what fails is the steel around it. We spec corrosion-resistant hardware as baseline for every Delray Beach install, not as an upsell.
Hydrostatic pressure from Delray Beach’s high eastern water table forces water upward through the base, blowing out standard joint sand. Polymeric sand resists washout, but only if the base is graded for drainage first. We re-grade and re-install with genuine Belgard-compatible polymeric sand, then verify edge restraint anchoring. Call (754) 254-8065 for an exact diagnosis - estimates are free.
We can match within current Belgard production lots, but weathered pavers have naturally shifted tone from UV and salt exposure. We blend replacement units across multiple courses to avoid a patch-line appearance, and we’ll show you the match in person before ordering. If the fade is too severe, we’ll quote a full re-surface with current stock.
Palm Beach County triggers full structural code upgrades when renovation costs exceed 50% of the structure’s assessed value. On 1950s CBS homes in Del-Ida Park and Nassau Park, a Belgard driveway replacement can push you over that threshold, requiring hurricane straps, wind-load connectors, and possible carport reinforcement before the paver base goes in. We calculate this risk during estimating and flag it in writing so you’re not surprised at permit. Call (754) 254-8065 and we’ll run the numbers with your property data.
