CGI Bathroom Remodeling: The Boca Raton Owner’s Guide
CGI bathroom remodeling in Boca Raton typically runs $9,000-$28,000 installed, with most projects we quote landing in the $12,000-$18,000 range for a full gut-and-replace of a standard 5′ x 8′ hall bath. We stock CGI-compatible fixtures and hardware on our trucks, and most replacements can be scheduled within a week once the written quote is signed. Homeowners usually discover a problem when a CGI valve cartridge starts dripping through the escutcheon, a frameless shower door hinge loosens in the humidity, or the integrated LED mirror driver fails after a Florida lightning season.
Which CGI Models This Applies To
CGI manufactures across three bathroom product lines: the Builder Series (entry-level chrome and brushed nickel fixtures, 2015-present), the Designer Collection (matte black, champagne bronze, and mixed-metal finishes, 2019-present), and the Spa Select line (thermostatic valves, digital shower controls, and integrated lighting, 2021-present). The model number is stamped on the valve body behind the trim plate, or on a label affixed to the underside of vanities and the hinge rail of shower doors. For valves, you’ll need the rough-in depth: CGI Builder Series uses a standard 2.5-inch wall depth, while Spa Select thermostatic units require 3.75 inches and will not retrofit into a standard CGI or competitor rough-in without opening the wall.
We source OEM CGI parts through three regional distributors in South Florida, and we also specify quality aftermarket equivalents from Kohler and Toto when the OEM lead time stretches past the project schedule. The aftermarket decision depends on the trim finish: CGI’s champagne bronze and brushed gold are proprietary PVD coatings that do not cross-match to Kohler or Delta, so mixing brands on the same wall creates a visible difference under Boca Raton’s strong natural light. For chrome and matte black, cross-brand matching is usually acceptable.
Signs Your CGI Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing

- Chronic dripping from the showerhead or tub spout when the valve is off. This points to a degraded CGI ceramic disc cartridge, which uses two polished alumina plates that seal against each other. Boca Raton’s hard water accelerates scoring on those plates; once the seal line is breached, the drip worsens weekly.
- Erratic water temperature or pressure drops during use. In CGI thermostatic valves, the wax motor that balances hot and cold inputs degrades in heat. South Florida’s attic temperatures, where many manifold boxes are located, shorten the motor’s lifespan from the rated 10 years to roughly 6-7 in our experience.
- Shower door sagging or metal-on-metal grinding at the hinge. CGI frameless doors use a brass pivot hinge with a nylon bushing. The bushing wears first; once it’s gone, the brass pivot grinds against the glass clamp, etching the glass edge and eventually risking panel failure.
- LED mirror flickering, dimming, or failing to respond to the touch sensor. The driver/transformer is sealed inside the mirror frame and is not serviceable separately. Humidity infiltration through the wire entry point is the typical failure mode in Boca Raton bathrooms without adequate exhaust ventilation.
- Vanity drawer misalignment or soft-close mechanism slamming. CGI uses Blum tandem slides in the Designer and Spa Select lines; the plastic clip that engages the soft-close piston cracks under repeated loading. The drawer still functions but loses the dampened return, and the clip debris can jam the slide track.

| LED mirror driver replacement | $420-$760 | Mirror removal, driver swap, moisture sealing, rehang and level, 1-year warranty |
| Vanity slide repair (per drawer) | $180-$320 | Blum slide clip or full slide replacement, alignment, 1-year warranty |
| Full CGI bathroom remodel | $9,000-$28,000 | Demolition, rough-in, fixtures, tile, vanity, lighting, permits, final inspection, 365-Day Done Right Promise |
The range depends on three factors: whether the wall needs opening for valve access, whether the finish is a CGI proprietary color requiring OEM sourcing, and whether we discover degraded substrate (cement board, greenboard, or unsealed drywall behind the tile) once demolition begins. Under Clause 1 of the Haven Standard, the written quote you receive before work starts is the number you pay; if substrate repair is a realistic possibility, we include that line item upfront with a sign-or-decline option rather than a surprise.
DIY or Call Us?

There is one thing a homeowner can safely check: the model number location. For CGI valves, pop the trim plate with a flathead screwdriver after shutting the water at the main; the stamp is visible on the brass body. For mirrors and vanities, the label is accessible without tools. Knowing the model before you call saves a trip charge if we need to order.
Everything else carries real risk. Valve cartridges are under municipal water pressure, typically 60-80 PSI in Boca Raton, and an unseated cartridge can launch into the wall cavity or spray water behind the tile. Thermostatic valves require temperature calibration with a digital thermometer; mis-calibration can scald. Shower door glass is tempered, but the edges are vulnerable to impact once the hinge is disturbed, and a dropped panel is a $600-$1,200 mistake. We do not recommend DIY replacement of any CGI component that requires breaking the watertight seal or disturbing the glass mounting. Call (754) 254-8065 and we’ll schedule a free estimate with the model number in hand.
FAQs
Cartridges last 6-10 years in South Florida’s hard water and heat; thermostatic wax motors average 6-7 years; LED mirror drivers run 5-8 years depending on exhaust fan usage. The fixture body itself, if brass, is indefinite. Call (754) 254-8065 for an exact quote on replacement - estimates are free.
Cartridges, wax motors, and LED drivers are sealed units and not field-repairable. Hinge bushings and slide clips are replaceable as standalone parts. We quote both options when both exist. Call (754) 254-8065 for an exact quote - estimates are free.
A single-component replacement (valve, mirror, door hinge) is typically a half-day. A full bathroom remodel runs 2-4 weeks depending on tile selection lead time and permit scheduling with the City of Boca Raton. We provide a written timeline with the quote, and no phase begins until the prior phase is signed off in your photo record. Call (754) 254-8065 to schedule your free estimate.
We stock Builder Series cartridges, common hinge bushing sizes, and Blum slide hardware. Designer Collection and Spa Select finishes, plus thermostatic assemblies, are ordered from our Miami distributor with 2-3 day lead time. We do not start work until the correct part is on-site - no “make it fit” substitutions. Call (754) 254-8065 to confirm availability for your model.

Measure twice, document everything, then build. Grant Rowan learned that discipline from his father in Beverly Hills, where a 1960s ranch house and a framing square taught him that level matters before anything else does. That same standard applies to every CGI bathroom remodeling project we take on in Boca Raton.
