Toto Kitchen Remodeling: The Boca Raton Owner’s Guide
Toto kitchen fixtures installed in Boca Raton homes typically run $14,000-$45,000 for a full remodel with plumbing relocation, with most Toto faucet, sink, and pot-filler replacements falling between $800-$3,200 installed. We stock Toto’s residential kitchen series on our Boca Raton trucks and can usually source same-day what we don’t carry. Most homeowners realize their Toto fixture is failing when the ceramic disc cartridge starts weeping at the base, the pull-down hose loses pressure, or the Sedona Beige finish begins pitting from the minerals in Palm Beach County’s hard water.
Which Toto Models This Applies To
Toto’s kitchen lineup breaks into three families, and the part you need depends on which family is installed. The Silas series (TL210SD12, TL220SD1) uses a 35mm ceramic disc cartridge with a proprietary clip retention system that looks standard but isn’t; the clip spacing is 32mm, not the 30mm you’ll find in generic aftermarket replacements. We’ve seen three Boca Raton homeowners this year buy the “universal” cartridge at a big-box store and discover it seats loosely, causing the drip to return inside two weeks.
The Aquia and Keane pull-down lines share a hose assembly (part THP0001) that Toto has revised twice since 2019. The current revision has a braided stainless jacket; earlier versions used nylon mesh that degrades faster in Florida’s UV exposure through kitchen windows. Check the date stamp on the hose collar: “Rev B” or later is what we stock.
The Guinevere and Soiree widespread faucets use a standard 1/2-inch NPS connection, so quality aftermarket valves from BrassCraft or Krowne work fine. For the Silas and Aquia lines, we recommend OEM Toto parts; the price difference is usually $40-$90, and the fit is exact. To identify your model, look for the laser-etched code on the escutcheon plate’s underside, or photograph the faucet profile and text it to us.

Signs Your Toto Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

- Steady drip from the spout base when the handle is off. This is almost always ceramic disc seal erosion. In Boca Raton, the calcium content in municipal water accelerates wear on the polished ceramic faces; we typically see this at 6-10 years, sooner if the home has no whole-house softener.
- Pull-down hose sprays water from the braided jacket. The inner EPDM tube has cracked, usually at the stress point where it enters the faucet body. Florida’s heat cycling, especially in west-facing kitchens, hardens the rubber faster than Toto’s 8-year design spec anticipates.
- Handle requires increasing force to shut off fully. The cartridge lubricant has degraded or sediment has scored the disc faces. Left unaddressed, the brass stem threads wear oval, and then you’re replacing the entire faucet body.
- Finish pitting or chalking around the spout outlet. This is galvanic corrosion where the zinc underlayer meets air through microscopic finish breaches. Toto’s PVD finishes hold up well, but the pre-2018 Sedona Beige and Cotton White batches had thinner deposition; we’ve replaced four in Boca Raton’s older subdivisions near Palmetto Park Road.
- Low flow after years of normal pressure. The Neoperl aerator is clogged with scale, or the supply hose has internal delamination. The aerator is a $12 part; the hose delamination means replacement, since debris is entering the water stream.

The range depends on three things: whether we’re accessing from below through an unfinished basement or working in a Boca Raton slab-on-grade home with no access panel; whether the shutoff valves are original gate valves that need replacement with quarter-turn ball valves; and whether the countertop cutout matches the new fixture footprint. Under Clause 1 of The Haven Standard, we put the full number in writing before any work starts, including the parts line item and labor hours. Our 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the installation; Toto’s factory warranty covers the part itself. Every visit includes a documented photo record of the existing condition, the opened package with serial visible, and the finished connection.
DIY or Call Us?

There’s a safe middle ground here. A homeowner with basic tools can remove the aerator for cleaning, check the supply line connections for visible corrosion, and photograph the model code for us to verify. What we don’t recommend: extracting a seized ceramic disc cartridge without a cartridge puller, which often cracks the brass body; or working on supply lines without verifying the home’s shutoff holds completely, which in older Boca Raton homes near the Intracoastal can mean the street curb stop is the only real isolation point.

FAQs
In Palm Beach County’s hard water and high-heat climate, we see 8-12 years on ceramic disc models before cartridge replacement, and 6-8 years on pull-down hoses if the kitchen gets afternoon sun. A whole-house softener adds roughly 30% to that lifespan. Call (754) 254-8065 for an exact quote on replacement - estimates are free.
Cartridge, hose, and aerator failures are repairable at roughly 20-35% of replacement cost. If the body threads are damaged or the finish has failed across more than 30% of the surface, replacement is the honest recommendation. We stock repair parts for Silas, Aquia, and Guinevere series on our Boca Raton trucks. Call (754) 254-8065 for an exact quote - estimates are free.
Standard replacement with accessible shutoffs: 2-3 hours. If we’re cutting access in a slab kitchen, adding a pot filler to a new wall location, or upgrading supply lines, plan a full day. We document each phase with photos before the next begins - that’s the discipline Grant Rowan built into the scheduling system. Call (754) 254-8065 for an exact quote - estimates are free.
We stock cartridges for Silas and Guinevere series, Aquia hoses Rev B, and common aerators and supply lines on our Boca Raton trucks.
